Since 1972, St. Matthew Preschool has nurtured children in a safe, loving Christian environment. We believe play is the work of childhood, and our programs encourage curiosity, creativity, and growth—spiritually, socially, physically, and academically. At St. Matthew, learning extends beyond the classroom with chapel, music, PE, library visits, field trips, and community programs.

Licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education (License #75043) and a proud participant in Maryland Excels (Level 3); we serve children ages 2–4 with options for Preschool Prep, Three-Year-Old, and Pre-K/Kindergarten Prep classes. Extended day options are also available.

    Preschool Prep (Age 2)

    A gentle introduction to school with caregiver support. Includes story time, music, sensory play, crafts, and outdoor activities.

    Tuesdays or Thursdays, 10–11:30am

    (12-week Fall & Spring sessions)

    Three-Year-Olds

    Builds confidence, independence, and a love of learning through sensory play, seasonal themes, and early literacy/math exploration.

    3-day (Mon/Wed/Fri) 9:30–12:00

    2-day (Tue/Thu) 9:30–12:00

    Four- & Five-Year-Olds (Pre-K/Kindergarten Prep)

    Hands-on literacy, math, science, and social development to prepare students for Kindergarten with confidence.

    5-day (Mon–Fri) 9:00–12:00

    3-day (Tue/Wed/Thu) 12:30–3:00
